Here's Dirk's tweet about the parade in German with a touch of English thrown in: An alle deutschen fans. Was fuer ein unglaubericher tag in wuebu. 15000leute waren da. Danke an alle die da waren. Unvergessliches erlebnis. Here are some photos that fans posted on twitter using yfrog and twitpic. yfrog.com/gy22122687jtwitpic.com/5i80ph

Okay I've got the gist of Dirk's tweet translated. It's pretty much an open letter: To all of his German fans What kind of incredible day in Wurzburg. Thanks to the 15,000 that were there. Was an unforgettable experience.
If I'm wrong please let me know and I will let the place that I found for translation know. But I do know that "danke" does mean thanks courtesy of Wayne Newton.

Here's a 35-min documentary about Dirk's day in Würzburg (in German), including his reception in the townhall of Würzburg, his appearance on the balcony of the Residence and a stage appearance with a short interview. tv.sport1.de/player/player.php?id=s519821&ref=indexI wish I could've been at the presser. They held the presser in front of 3,000 LUCKY fans and according to some sport journalists he had been so relaxed, funny and chatty as never before and was quite the entertainer. Dirk seemed to have talked about his tongue, too: "Everytime I go to the basket my tongue comes out. I know it looks stupid, but I have no control over it, that's just what my body does." ;D So, what else was there... Another rendition of "We Are The Champions" - as much as I love Dirk - I can't say that his performance has improved, although he has sung it quite a bit lately... His Dad had been fighting back the tears when the crowd kept screaming "MVP! MVP!" He's staying at home for a couple of days, then will go on vacation ("I'm going to the the Meckleburg Lake District. For those of you who want to see me shirtless are free to join me there.") Then he'll head back to Germany. He pulled off that joke about the Mecklenburg Lake District with such a straight face that I'm sure they'll have increasing numbers of tourists in that area - wondering where this came from... ;D

Oh, and here's the video of the presser, including his entry to AC/DC's "Hells Bells". I know it's in German - but if you want to listen to him talking in German for 80 minutes you're in for a treat! tv.sport1.de/player/player.php?id=s789350&ref=indexSome highlights: At about 0:58:40 he demonstrates his shooting technique (was requested by a kid). At about 1:14 his sister enters the stage, the Dirk Nowitzki foundation got rewarded by a € 100,000 from his sponsor, the ING DiBa.
