So, here are some updates on Dirk... (Btw, he's back in Dallas now, and team practices start next week around Wednesday or Thursday). The show was so much fun! Lenny Kravitz was also on the show and although he is a Miami Heat fan he congratulated Dirk on winning the Championship and said that the Mavs totally deserved it. Lenny Kravitz also jumped onto the couch so he and Dirk were the same height... Oh, and as a farewell present for the current TV host (it was his last show) he gave him his original jersey from the LA All Stars Game 2011. ... and here is a 20min backstage interview (although in German), which was totally nice, because the journalist had been well prepared and nice, and Dirk looked as if he were enjoying it, he seemed totally relaxed. And the girl asked him about "humming David Hasselhoff songs at the free throw line", making fun of him. BUT: according to Dirk this is just a rumor. When being asked what he does to prevent from feeling to pressured at the free throw line he answered that he were humming songs in his head. When being asked which one he didn't really answered, but one journalist (knowing that David Hasselhoff had been very popular here in the 80s) shouted "David Hasselhoff"! Dirk was playing along by saying "yeah, yeah, looking for freedom", but it totally stuck. He even met David Hasselhoff at an All Stars game in Las Vegas a couple of years later, when David Hasselhoff stood behind him, shouting his name and waving his arms. Dirk seemed totally amused. Hello Jerry. Thank you for taking the time to share the photos and update on the show for all of us. It does look like it was a lot of fun. Happy memories for sure, for many. And I can't help but ask if the donated jersey was clean? lol j/k ;D I noticed he cut his hair. It looks nice. He wears this style well. Good luck with the new season to Dirk and all of our Mavs.  |

Was Karl Lagerfeld and Heidi Klum there also? There is a couple of people that look like them. Heidi Klum wasn't there. Guests were Lenny Kravitz, Karl Lagerfeld, Jessica Biel, her co-star from "Happy New Year" Til Schweiger, a German TV-host, a German actress and Meat Loaf. And the blonde woman in the picture is Michelle Hunziker, she's co-hosting the show. |
